Zucchini

Ingredients:

4 cups shredded zucchini
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/3 cup sliced scallions (green and white parts)
Vegetable oil
Sour cream, for serving (optional)

Directions:

Place the shredded zucchini in a colander set over a bowl and sprinkle the zucchini lightly with salt. Allow the zucchini to stand for 10 minutes. Using your hands, squeeze out as much liquid from the zucchini as possible. Transfer the zucchini to a large bowl.

Add the flour, eggs, sliced scallions, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper to the bowl, stirring until the mixture is combined. Line a plate with paper towels.

Liberally coat the bottom of a large sauté pan with vegetable oil and place it over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, scoop 3-tablespoon mounds of the zucchini mixture into the pan, pressing them lightly into rounds and spacing them at least 2 inches apart. Cook the zucchini fritters for 2 to 3 minutes, then flip them once and cook an additional 2 minutes until golden brown and cooked throughout. Transfer the zucchini fritters to the paper towel-lined plate and immediately sprinkle them with salt. Repeat the scooping and cooking process with the remaining zucchini mixture.

Serve the zucchini fritters topped with sour cream (optional) and sliced scallions.

Here is an old dresser on the bottom right that had scratches & the whitish colored stain from something hot being laid on it. Then on the left is our basement door which the someone took the hook & dragged it around & scratched the wood.

Well now after I've made my concoction & rubbed the effected areas the scratches & whitish stains are gone!!!!!!

Beauty tip for your Hair

So beautiful
Four different masks for each type of hair that you can easily make in minutes using all-natural ingredients you probably have sitting in your refrigerator or cupboard right now!

Dry hair –Olive Oil and Egg
In need of some major TLC?? Combine three tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil with two eggs and apply the mixture to your hair and let the mixture sit for 20 minutes before rinsing in the shower.

The olive oil will help hydrate brittle locks, while the protein in the eggs will promote healthy hair growth.

All hair types — Avocado and Honey

Mask a ripened avocado and mix in a tablespoon of organic honey and allow it to sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it off in the shower.

Avocados are rich in a variety of vitamins and nutrients, including vitamin E and protein, both of which your hair needs to remain soft and healthy. Meanwhile, honey is a natural antibacterial agent.

Oily hair — Apple Cider Vinegar and Lemon

Combine 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar with the grated peel of an entire lemon and allow it to set for 15 minutes to absorb the excess oil from your scalp, and then rinse in the shower.

Apple cider vinegar will remove build up from styling products and conditioners and strengthen the hair shaft, leaving you with soft, shiny strands. It will also balance hair’s pH level, kill bacteria, and is a cure for dandruff.

Dry, flaky scalp hair — Banana, Honey and Almond

Mash together 1/2 a ripe banana and add two tablespoons of honey and a few drops of almond oil and allow it to set with a shower cap on for 20 minutes before rinsing.

Bananas can increase the moisture of your hair, smooth frizz and soothe your itchy scalp.

Choose the one that fits you better and bring your hair back to life!! There is no need to buy the priciest conditioners on the market to moisturize and revitalize your hair

Party time here are some beauty tips

It’s party time, you are all dressed up. Everything is perfect, your dress, your make up, your hair. It’s time to put on those sexy stilettos that you were dying to wear. Then suddenly you take a look at your feet and you realize that your heels are so dry and cracked. You say to yourself “Oh my God! What are my friends are going to say….? This is so embarrassing!” It’s not the time to rush to the beauty salon to get them fixed. Now what? You have no other option but to hide them by wearing your same old pumps. Too bad!

Your feet require your attention, it’s time to do something about those heels before this situation happens again. The problem i.e. cracked heels is also called heel fissures. Now there are a number of factors that can cause heel fissures such as dehydration, xerosis (dry skin), psoriasis, eczema, athlete’s foot , diabetes, and deficiency of certain nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, calcium, iron and zinc.
The good thing about these cracked heels is that they are easily avoidable. All you need to do is take good care of your feet and try these simple remedies to get rid of the problem once and for all

Remedy No. 1: Olive Oil Lemon Juice & Honey
The first remedy can do wonders to your feet. It will make those dry heels soft and smooth, over night. Hard to believe? Try it yourself! You need some olive oil, lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey. Mix them well and apply it to the cracked heels. Keep your feet covered by wearing cotton socks. Wash your feet in the morning with lukewarm water. Exfoliate and moisturize.

Remedy No. 2: Banana
You will need a banana for this one! Take a ripe banana, mash it well and apply to the cracked heels for about 15 minutes. You can also add an avocado to it. Wash off with lukewarm water. Repeat this process once a week.

Remedy No. 3: Vegetable Oil
Go straight to your kitchen and get some vegetable oil, it can be coconut oil, sesame oil or even mustard oil. Massage well on the dry cracked heels that have been scrubbed with a pumice stone and thoroughly washed. Wear a clean pair of socks and leave them like that for the night. In the morning wash your feet with lukewarm water. Repeat this process for a week and you will notice a visible difference.

Remedy No. 4: Glycerin Rose Water & Lemon Juice
One of the most promising remedies require glycerin, rose water and lemon juice in equal quantities. Mix these three ingredients and keep the mixture in a bottle or a container. Every night, before going to bed, wash your feet, scrub them and apply this mixture to your feet. Wear clean cotton socks and wash your feet in the morning. Not only it will treat your cracked heels effectively but it will make your feet soft, smooth and fair. You can apply this mixture to your hands as well.

Remedy No. 5: Paraffin Wax
Paraffin wax has always been dry feet’s best friend, especially those feet with cracked heels. Melt some paraffin wax in olive oil or mustard oil and allow this mixture to cool. Apply it to your cracked heels, wear socks. This process can be repeated twice a week for best results.

Remedy No. 6: Lemon Juice
Take some warm water in a small tub and add lemon juice to it, juice of 2 to 3 lemons would be enough. Let your feet soak in this water for at least 10 minutes. Then exfoliate the dead skin with a pumice stone. Repeat this process twice a week.

Remedy No. 7: Salt
Dip your feet in salty water, slightly warm. You can also add mustard powder to it, only about half a teaspoon. This will not only fix your cracked heels but would also relax your foot muscles. Afterwards dry your feet and apply petroleum jelly on the cracks.

Remedy No. 8: Pumice Stone
Consider this remedy as a daily ritual. Before going to bed wash your feet with a good soap, then soak your feet in lukewarm water for maximum 10 minutes, use a pumice stone on the heels to remove away dead skin cells. You can also use a natural scrub instead of pumice stone.

Natural Scrub:
To make the natural scrub take rice flour about 2 tablespoons, 1 tablespoon honey and 1 tablespoon of vinegar, mix them to form a paste and massage your feet with it. Rinse off and pat dry with a clean towel. After that you can apply a good cream, petroleum jelly or olive oil to moisturize your feet. Wear cotton socks. Now you are ready to go to bed.

We are sure that one of the above mentioned remedies would work for you. It is also suggested to focus on your diet and make sure you are getting enough zinc, iron, vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids in your diet. Also drink plenty of water.
